Our story

This site presents our Small Hotel, explaining the location, rooms, spaces, prices, facilities…
‘That’s what we all do!
But this place has other, immaterial ‘endowments’,
not tangible, like the size of the bathrooms or the quality of the mattresses,
but which are vital for us at the estate.
And yes, we know that on the web you have to write little, be concise, get straight to the point,
but we still like commas and dots that leave a real story in suspense…
My name is Paola Trucco, and on my mother’s side I am a descendant of the del Carretto family,
but of this descent I have nothing left
but to gaze for years through the gratings of the great gate
this estate, in a state of miserable abandonment.
It’s like daydreaming, only
I dreamt not of a secluded princess castle,
but a place restored to its original light and happiness
and above all a place to share with others.
If you have let time stand still to read my story so far,
you will find the same stillness in the estate:
we perfect it day by day,
with originality and small touches,
driven by a beating heart of passion.
Any curiosities about the women to whom the Cascinetta rooms are dedicated?
They are my ancestresses!
Finding this place pushed me to get to know them better, to rediscover my roots and in each of them, perhaps, something of me…
Each one was different and special to me,
just like the guests of the estate are.
